(Updated) The Filipina and the Polar Bear

Leah's Polar Bear Pic, used with permission

A few posts back, I blogged that an old La Salle classmate of mine is cruising the Northwest Passage (that's North Pole, for us). She's rubbing elbows with Santa, the Elves, Penguins (Updated: i was informed that Penguins are only in the South Pole), Polar Bears and Denizens of the North. You can follow what's it like to be literally on top of the world over at Ophelia's Blog.

Arctic Sunset

Ever wonder what a sunset would look like to Santa's Elves?

The BBC has an online diary that tells the story of Taking the Northwest Passage aboard the Canadian Coast Guard ship, Amundsen.

*Sunset and the ice are images I borrowed from Leah (an old university buddy of mine) via her flickr feed. She is currently up at the Arctic collecting data.
