Genes You Got from Your Dad

Wouldn't it be interesting to trace your genetic linage? Well, cvj over at placeholder responded to a comment i recently made to his tracing of his paternal side (genes you got from your dad and his dad, etc.) by posting a Pre-Hispanic Philippines: Patrilineal Genetic Demography.

*image above is from wiki--- human migration. It is actually a map of mtDNA migration or the genes you got from your mum. cvj already has all the details on his blog post for the paternal side, including images.

Cocoy, thanks for the link! I plan to also participate again in the Genographic Project on the Mothers side but the price is steep so i'll save that for next year. By the looks of it though, mtDNA seems more complicated.
