The Great Transition: Scenarios of What the Future May Look Like

Ran across The Global Scenario via the civilization wiki. The Global Scenario argues that we are at a turning point in history and that we are moving towards a Planetary Phase of Civilization

Really can't help but wonder, wasn't it Heisenberg who said, always in motion is the future? Wait. That was Yoda

Seriously, this is an insightful read. It is interesting to note that one of their scenarios would depend on greater role of the NGO, given that today we see the greater role of organizations like the Open Architecture Network (among others and just to cite an example) in building better communities.

The entire series can be found here and the book that I was reading: Great Transition: The Promise and Lure of the Times Ahead.  The book talked about six likely scenarios: market forces, policy reform, breakdown, fortress world, eco-communism and new sustainability paradigm. What do you think the world will look like?
