PGMA's Survival?

with the call from many groups, including the Makati Business Club and former President Aquino, it looks like this may be the tipping point for President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

it seems that the divisions are too much for the President to lead without problems. It may be the proper but painful move.

Does President Arroyo's resignation change anything? In the short term, it does not. But the Filipino will endure. Looks like it will be President De Castro, sooner rather than later.

21 july, 2005 update: looking back on that friday, intelligence has recently been provided that points to how close it was for pgma. it was through the support of various groups, chiefly former president ramos and the lakas party, and the stand of the catholic church that helped stabilize the situtiation for pgma.
